To add a new user to your Desk-Net account, you need to have administrator rights. Only then will you have access to the Users page.
In this article, we are going to explain to you how to add a new user to your account, and what to do, if he/she does not appear in your accounts' user list, right away.
Inviting a User
To add a new user to your Desk-Net account, first go to the Users Page . You can go to that page by hovering over the gearwheel symbol and clicking on Users from the drop-down menu.
On Users Page , you can see which users work in your account and what group they are assigned to.
On the top right hand corner of the page, there is the button Add User. Click on it, to add a new user.
An entry mask will pop up, here you can enter the new user´s information.
At the very top of the entry mask, you can set the type of user you want to add. You can choose between Employee and Freelancer. If you give a freelancer restricted access (default setting, when choosing freelancer), this user will be free of charge.
The fields First name, Last name, E-Mail, User works for (only appears when there is more than one group in your account) and Screen name are compulsory.
Once you are done entering the new user information, select the checkbox next to Send login details and click on save. Now the user should appear in the user list.
That new user you just added will now receive an e-mail with an invitation to log onto the account. In that e-mail, the user only has to click on GO TO DESK-NET.
This link will take the user to the set you password page. Here the user must set a password which is at least 9 characters long. By clicking on SET PASSWORD, Desk-Net will automatically open and the user will able to collaborate with you.
When you get this message after saving the user,
it means that this user with that exact e-mail address already uses Desk-Net in another account and will not appear in your user list at first.
In this case, the user will get a Desk-Net invitation to join your account with the option to decline or accept. Only once the user accepts the invitation and logs into Desk-Net following the accept link, will he/she appear in your user list.
