In the General Settings, you can customize account-wide preferences and configurations to better suit your needs.
Story Fields
Activate and manage fields displayed on the Detailed Entry Mask. The following fields and functions can be managed here:
- The Slug field: Learn more about this feature here.
- The Location field: Check a box to allow a location and address to be specified in the topics/dates.
- Confidentiality: Stories can be marked as confidential. Confidential stories can only be viewed by people who have been assigned a task for that story.
- Notes field (enabled by default).
- Attachments (enabled by default).
Content Fields and Features
Enable and manage content input fields that can be uploaded or entered for stories on the Content tab. A detailed explanation of how to enter content and the different options can be found here.
The following fields and functions can be managed here:
- Headline: Activate a heading field for entering text and define a maximum number of characters.
- Lead: Activate an additional text field for entering a preamble and define a maximum number of characters.
- Text formatting: Activate various options for text formatting.
- Line counter: Activate a line counter for all text fields when entering content.
Pages and Features
Activate Desk-Net functions or manage the behavior of overlapping functionalities.
The following fields and functions can be managed here:
- Calendar (enabled by default): The entry of events and separate task appointments as well as the calendar pages can be deactivated.
- Costs: Enables budget control via the entry of standard or individual costs for assignments. You can learn more about this feature here.
- Slack integration: Install the Desk-Net app for Slack. Click here for a detailed installation guide.
- Phone link format: Choose which default protocol Desk-Net should use when clicking on phone numbers.
- Custom email footer: Enter a text to be displayed at the end of notification emails sent by Desk-Net. This can include legal information, links or help text. You can find more information here.
