When somebody has assigned a task to you Desk-Net sends out an email with all the necessary information. In case you have been asked to confirm or reject the assignment this email includes Confirm and Reject links at the top of the email body.
In some email clients such as Live by Microsoft confirming or rejecting does not work properly. Such email clients simply do not support those special mailto links we use even though those links are standard web technology and are being supported by most email clients and websites.
This is what you can do:
- Confirm/reject your assignments in Desk-Net: You can confirm your assignments in the "My Assignments" box on the My Schedule page. If you do not have a user profile in Desk-Net ask your administrator to set up an account for you. If you are a freelancer he can create a profile for free for you.
- Use a different email client: You may want to consider a separate email client that is more powerful. That email client would fetch the emails from your existing account so that you do not have to switch email addresses. Clients like Gmail or MS Outlook support those mailto links we are using.
